ELENA TALKED ABOUT CROSSES AND CHRISTIAN NAMES

Elena's talk  in the last session of plan de formación was quite interesting:
St Andrew's cross, the Greek cross...
Also she reminded us of the many Christian names there are in Tenerife: La Cruz Santa, Puerto de la Cruz...

Juan Antonio remembered the name:
Casa Pedro el Crusantero...yammie, delicious puchero!

DEBATE: Gran Canaria or Tenerife?

Our team of teachers in the plan de formación will have to make their stand for or against Gran Canaria and for or against Tenerife.
What's your position? Is Gran Canaria better to live in ? Is Tenerife your favourite?

ICTs: NEW TOOLS FOR A BETTER LEARNING

ICTs have already been around us for some time and if we want to belong to 21st century teaching we cannot avoid using them any longer. On the contrary, we have to get used to them and take advantage of the incredible possibilities that they give us for a more comprehensive teaching and for more motivating, dynamic lessons.

ICTs' breakthrough, however, does not mean that teachers should lose their status as educators. Nowadays, as always, teachers are 'in charge' of full classrooms of would-be adult citizens that need 'response-able' teachers: ICTs are wonderful tools at hand-reach (school equipment still does not cover all our needs, though) and the teacher's mind and heart are the instruments that are going to make ICTs actually work.
